How do you define maintenance support?

We provide you usually with 2 releases per year. In addition to the security and upgrades, the releases will ensure your service will remain compatible with various APIs and mobile apps.

How do you define Service level agreement (SLA) support?

We offer separate support for deployment, integration and other queries through our SLAs. You can find more here.

How often do I receive updates and/or upgrades for the service?

Usually twice per year.

Why should I pay for Mergin Maps Enterprise edition if I can use Community edition free of charge?

Firstly, the subscription payments for Enterprise edition will fund our work which we invest in sustaining the Mergin Maps ecosystem. Secondly, we are committed to releasing Mergin Maps Enterprise edition frequently to make sure it is up to date with all the upstream bug fixes and security patches.

Are the mobile app, QGIS plugin and other tools compatible with Mergin Maps Enterprise edition?

Yes. All our tools are compatible with any Mergin Maps instance. We also keep a certain degree of backward compatibility.

Can we access the source code of Mergin Maps Enterprise edition?

Most of the elements of Mergin Maps Enterprise edition are open sourced and are shared with Community edition, which is available on our GitHub. Some components specific to Enterprise edition, such as workspaces, are only available to Enterprise edition subscribers and are hosted on our private repositories. We do not generally make the Enterprise edition specific source code available, but on special occasions it can be shared with developers and partner companies after contributor license agreement has been arranged.

Can we modify the source code of Mergin Maps Enterprise edition?

You can make changes to the source code for Community edition. Any changes should be committed back to the upstream project on GitHub in accordance with the AGPL license.

Can I apply one license to multiple instances?

Mergin Maps Enterprise edition allows you to run one instance in your production environment. You can have other instances for testing and staging only. Each Enterprise edition instance is only available to the customer who has purchased it and cannot be resold or added to a concurrent Software as a service outside of Enterprise edition Mergin Maps.

What happens when/if I want to terminate my Mergin Maps Enterprise edition license?

If you decide to end your subscription to Mergin Maps Enterprise edition, you will need to remove Enterprise edition or downgrade to Community edition once your subscription period ends.

How do I renew my subscription?

We will notify you when your license is due to expire. If you are unsure about the status of your existing subscription, please email us at sales@merginmaps.com for assistance.

What are the hardware requirements for Mergin Maps Enterprise edition?

Mergin Maps Enterprise edition is a containerised application which runs on a host machine using docker. We recommend using a dedicated host machine with 8GB of memory. Mergin Maps Enteprise edition’s requirements for CPU and persistent storage depend largely on the frequency of project updates and the anticipated size of the data you expect to store respectively.

Can I modify the code for Mergin Maps Community edition?

Yes. Mergin Maps Community edition is open source and will remain open source. If you want to contribute your code to https://github.com/MerginMaps/, the acceptance of your changes are subject to technical review from Mergin Maps development team and our contributor license agreement.

Can I run multiple concurrent Mergin Maps Community edition instances?
